Shopping Smart on Black Friday
Black Friday is one of the most hyped shopping days of the year. But this year, customers don’t have to wait until Friday to get the deals. Stores like Toys ‘R’ Us, Walmart and Target will be getting a head start on their sales Thanksgiving Day.
But with so many stores having their sales on the same day, how do you decide where to go first?
Phong Vu, the managing director at Ben’s Bargains, and his team of editors scour the internet for the best deals. They not only have twelve years of experience but they also use real humans to do the job instead of an automated system.
The Ben’s Bargains team also verify every single deal that they find to make sure each one works.
So what deals are going to be popular this year?
“Laptops are also another big item for Black Friday and we expect to see some Apple products on sale as well,” said Lindsay Sakraida from Dealnews.com.
Other big deals to look out for this year include, TVs and tablets including Apple products. Keep in mind that although cameras will be a good buy this Black Friday, new models will be available February.
But, be cautious about what deals are offered in stores because they might not be as good as you think said Sakraida. “Last year we found that 70 percent of in-store deals were online as well for the same price or less.”
That means that lining up outside of those stores might be more for the experience.
Sakraida recommends for customers to avoid going into stores unless there’s an doorbuster deal that really worth getting.
“You have to be the first in line to get it anyway, so you should decide if that’s worth your time,” said Sakraida.
So for those still deciding whether or not to go deal hunting on Friday, keep mind, planning details in advance and shopping online can save a lot of stress.
