LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — Police are asking for help finding the suspect who shot a 14-year-old girl in the face as she walked with friends.
It happened around 1:20 a.m. on Dec. 9 on Vernon Avenue near Hooper Avenue.
The victim, Jessica Garcia, remains hospitalized in critical condition.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 18 and 25 years old with black or dark brown hair.
He is about 5’5″ to 5’7″ tall and weighs about 120 pounds. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

I hope she’s ok and they find the criminal. Furthermore, the parents of this girl should also be held accountable. Totally irresponsible parenting. No child that age should be out at 1:20 in the morning, school night or not. Any woman can bear a child, but only some are capable of being a parent.

Sorry to hear about the girl but I agree whats with the parents make them take some responsiblity.she should be home asleep.maybe they should tie her down to the bed

Are you people really this dense…This isn’t the only person to get hurt not doing anything wrong in South Central Los Angeles…This girl was sweet and a pretty clean person…She truly didn’t deserve anything close to that…It could’ve been anyone…It’s a crazy feeling when somebody pulls a gun on you and starts going through your pockets…”I hope they arrest the parents” Wtf…I hope they get the so called “G” that shot her……

He has been arrested after the 50k reward. Guess what? His other 2 companions turned him in for the money. FYI he is a stupid minor that had nothing better to do. Now he'll have less to do in jail.
