WASHINGTON — Choking up and wiping away tears, President Obama offered support and prayers for the families of those shot in an elementary school in Connecticut and called for “meaningful action” to stop such violence.
“Our hearts are broken today,” the president said in the briefing room at the White House.
Obama spoke hours after a gunman shot and killed more than two dozen people at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Eighteen of the dead were children, according to officials.

A gunman opened fire in a Connecticut elementary school on December 14, killing 26 people — 20 of them children. All of the children were either 6 or 7 years old. The gunman also killed his mother, police said.

This is just to much to contain. What makes a person snap like this. To kill innocent children for absolutely no reason other than he was having a bad day and needed attention? I just dont understand humanity and where they find logic and reason to do something like this. Those poor babies and their families. Evil taking innocence away is just too overwhelming. My heart breaks for those families, and tonight they all will be in my thoughts and prayers. Only God can truly understand this one. There are too many people in this world that thrive on destroying this world everyday. Enough is enough. This world does need to end soon so things like this wont happen anymore.

You say only God can understand this one yet God is The word, and The word became flesh. He has given us His word so that we may understand this. He has given us Himself. The Truth. I will pray for your knowledge as well as many many others while there is still time.
