
ROWLAND HEIGHTS (KTLA) — A 28-year-old man was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver as he crossed a road in Rowland heights early Saturday morning.
The man has been identified by coroner’s officials as Earl T. Bourne II of Los Angeles.
According to witnesses, Bourne was crossing the street near John A. Rowland High School when he was struck by a blue Dodge Durango sports utility vehicle.
Students were arriving back at the school just after midnight on Saturday from a field trip to Disneyland when the crash happened.
No students were injured.
The driver was pulled over near the scene and arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated.
Her name has not been released.

Can this finally be the last straw and we BAN CARS? If there were no Cars, there would be no drunk drivers killing innocent people!

I was there at the scene of the accident, I never knew the pedestrian, but it has impacted my life in ways that you can even begin to imagen, I pray for him and his family, it was all I could do, I been pray for him every day, I took some candles and pray somemore, I can believe people keep drinking and driving!

Earl we love you very much with all of your hearts. what happen to you was a very sad thing. your son little Earl and i think about you every day that goes bye. i will make sure to take good care of are son. The girl that did this is going to pay. I am still fightting for justice.
