The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed San Juan Capistrano Mayor John Taylor was attacked by two men while walking with his wife after a Christmas party.
A Sheriff Department spokesman tells KTLA that Taylor and his wife were walking on Los Rios Street about 11:30pm Saturday night, when one of the suspects punched Taylor in the head, knocking him to the ground.
Taylor’s wife called for help and attempted to stop the attackers. The men apparently ran away after she yelled that they were attacking the mayor.
The Sheriff Department said the attack appears to be random and unrelated to Taylor’s position as mayor.
Taylor was treated and released at a nearby hospital for cuts and bruises to his head.
The two suspects are described as Hispanic males, about 6 feet in height and about 220 pounds.

No more news on the Beating of a Public Official by Latino Thugs?
They probably want to hush it up to preserve Property Values and Tourist Trade in
that crime infested town….most people would NOT go to that town..knowing that
even the MAYOR gets beaten to a pulp in public…AND they are a Sanctuary City
for Illegal Aliens…?? The media is QUIET now…hushing it up?????
Until the NEXT unsuspecting person gets beaten or Raped..as happened recently??

Mike, it's been over two weeks since this incident and notice the complete lack of any follow-up reporting. Where's the media, besides doing the usual catering to their huge and growing Latino audience they don't want to offend?

How ironic the "chickens have come home to roost" with the mayor of sanctuary-city San Juan Cap (with its huge illegal-alien population) most likely falling victim to one of its protected criminals. These two thugs are probably hiding-out safely in their underground illegal community, or simply found this a convenient time to be "home for the holidays" back in Mexico.

Wow, amazing follow-up we're NOT seeing on this story. Another example of how the dumb-as-sheep public only gets outraged when the media leads the way. So it's not politically or financially correct for media to touch this story; watch it fade as fast as all the panga-boat incidents have.
