False Report of ‘Man With a Gun’ at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

Cedars-Sinai

LOS ANGELES (KTLA)- The LAPD received a call just before 10 a.m. from a person who reported seeing a man with a gun at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The unidentified caller told officers the potentially armed man was near the Steven Spielberg Building at 8725 Alden Drive.

The LAPD did not find anyone suspicious and determined that the man was actually an armored car driver who made regular stops at Cedars-Sinai.

Medical Center workers told KTLA that part of the building was on lock down for a short-time during the investigation.

I am the daughter the the “caller”. The report was not a phone call we were in the building at my mother’s appointment. The “man with a gun” was not around the building he was in the restroom in no identifying clothing of an armored car company. And when staff was asked about suspicious man they knew nothing of a man that would be armed and in the building, hence the lock down. It was not a false report simply a concerned bystander with unaware staff.
