Man Tasered at End of Pursuit at Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON (KTLA) — A high-speed pursuit that spanned several counties ended when the suspect was taken down by a stun gun in the Camp Pendleton area.

The pursuit involving a silver Honda Civic began in Riverside County, then went through Los Angeles and Orange counties and into San Diego County.

The suspect, who was reportedly wanted on an outstanding warrant, drove south on the 405 Freeway and 5 Freeway, reaching speeds up to 110 mph.

After more than an hour, the chase came to an end shortly before 6 a.m. near the Basilone Road entrance to Camp Pendleton.

The suspect was Tasered by police while being taken into custody. Paramedics were called to the scene to tend to the man.

Basilone Road was shut down in both directions to accommodate the investigation.

      Lotus Esprit hasn't been manufactured since 2004.

      Their – Possessive of they.
      They’re – Contraction of “they are”.
