ADELANTO, Calif. — They came for the pit bulls. Then they found the pot.
Deputies responding Friday morning to reports of two vicious pit bulls in Adelanto discovered a large marijuana-cultivation operation in a 20,000-square-foot warehouse, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s department said in a statement.
The deputies had been called to Koala Road and Commerce Way in Adelanto, about 40 miles north of San Bernardino, to find the owners of the pit bulls, which had attempted to attack employees at a nearby business. They learned that the dogs had escaped from a nearby warehouse.
Inside the warehouse, members of a sheriff’s narcotics team — called to the scene to execute a search warrant — seized 1,850 marijuana plants being grown in five large cargo containers, authorities said. They also took about 10 pounds of processed marijuana, three rifles and two shotguns.
Two men — David Lusk, 57, and Steven Hall, 35, both of Adelanto — were arrested at the scene and booked into the Adelanto Detention Center. Authorities said they had been living in two of the warehouse’s office areas.
Investigators also found exposed electrical wiring used to power a cultivation system that included grow lights, fans and air conditioning units, which had put the suspects at “high risk for electrocution,” the Sheriff’s Department said.
Anyone with more information should contact the sheriff’s narcotics team at (909) 890-4840.

These brave officers do such a great job protecting us everyday from this demon weed. But seriously folks, these clowns bust pot growers, but they allow illegal aliens to forge documents, steal identities and commit fraud for public services at free will. Revolution calling.
