Christmas Party Held to Benefit Children Fighting Cancer
PICO RIVERA (KTLA) — A special Christmas celebration was held Saturday afternoon in Pico Rivera.
Children battling cancer were treated to a festive holiday at the second annual Little Warriors Christmas party at the 58 Bar and Grill.
The event was sponsored by the Silver and Black Angels Foundation.
As many as 30 families attended and were treated to plenty of food, presents, had their faces painted and were professionally photographed.
The children also got a visit from Santa.
While some said the party was bittersweet, others say it’s a gathering they look forward to every December.
“I feel so grateful for all the people we have met along this journey,” said partygoer Andrea Gonzales, whose son has cancer.
“We’ve lost some of our friends, but we’re grateful that we knew them.”
