Holiday Shoppers Make Last Minute Dash

GLENDALE, Calif. (KTLA) — With just two days before Christmas, some holiday shoppers are taking advantage of extended store hours — and deals — as they embark on their last minute hunt.

Kathy has been on a 24-hour spree trying to finish her holiday shopping before time almost runs out.

“I’ve been awake since yesterday morning at 7 a.m.,” Kathy said.

“Shop ’til I drop — I think I’m ready to go home now.”

Retailers are banking on shoppers like Kathy, as experts say  that about one third of sales are done during the holiday season.

According to a recent, as many as two thirds of consumers haven’t finished their shopping and around 15% of people still haven’t even started.

Staying open around the clock is key to nabbing those last minute shoppers, many people opted for shopping bright and early.

“I’ll come next year too at this time if I get parking like this,” shopper Nate Risdon said.
