Christmas Shoppers Hunt for Last-Minute Gifts
LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — Last-minute shoppers flocked to stores and malls on Monday trying to check those last few people off their lists.
Fortunately for them, retailers are making it easier than ever to snag gifts at the final hour.
Toys”R”Us stores nationwide have been open non-stop since Friday. After 88 consecutive hours, the sales will end at 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
“I think I can find better deals,” one woman said outside a Toys”R”Us in Atwater village Monday morning. “It was a last-minute wishlist item for my daughter,” she added.
“I just got out off work right now so it’s perfect,” another early-morning shopper said. “You just gotta deal with it.”
Select Macy’s locations have been open since Saturday morning for present procrastinators. Some will stay open until midnight on Monday.
Best Buy stores, IKEA and Costco all close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Most Walmart stores close at 8 p.m., and Target closes at 9 p.m. Kmart locations will be open through 10 p.m.
