LOS ANGELES –  Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a controversial new law Friday banning the adoption of Russian children by U.S. families.

The action could affect hundreds of American families seeking to adopt, many right here in Southern California.

Stefan Chase spoke to one Southland family who adopted Russian children in the past and fear for those youngsters left behind by the new law.
