LAS VEGAS, NV – A missing 10-year-old Las Vegas girl has been found dead.
The search for Jade Morris ended Friday afternoon when officials confirmed that a body found a day earlier in an undeveloped housing tract was that of the little girl.
The Clark County coroner’s office said she died of multiple stab wounds.
Brenda Stokes Wilson, the longtime girlfriend of Jade’s father could soon face kidnapping and murder charges related to the child’s death.
Stokes Wilson is being held in jail, accused of a different crime.
Police say she slashed a co-worker with razor blades at the Bellagio casino last Friday, the same day that Jade disappeared.
Investigators say they suspect Stokes Wilson killed Jade before going to the Las Vegas casino.
