Drowning Sledders Pulled from Freezing Wrightwood Lake

WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — A day at the snow turned into a rescue operation after a man fell into a frozen lake.

Several people attempted to save the man from drowning, but they also broke through the ice.

After five minutes, nearly a dozen people were in the water.

Bystanders threw ropes and inner tubes to the people in the water.

About 9 minutes later, everyone was pulled safely from the lake. They are all in good condition.

Aspergers? Are you serious? These idiots go sliding on a surface they are unsure of its safety!
I liken this to a rock climber without safety tools, or a base jumper. It's a risk you take and if you fall, you're on your own.
I think these parents should be charged.
You must be one of those progressive Californians.

Coming from you, I take it as a compliment. You're the reason California is in the shape it is.

Don't be swayed by the pro-moron morons who post, as it would seem we already are suffering a tragic shortage of common sense here in California…

Common sense in CA? Look whom we elected for president, governor, lieutenant gov., LA mayor, and on and on. We deserve all of this misery.

As someone who owns a home in Wrightwood and frequents this lake regularly, I can say without a doubt that the Mexicans that swarm the mountains after every snow are the stupidest species known to man. They picnic on the highway with kids running around, leave their dirty diapers and trash everywhere and here is a classic example of not having even one adult with a brain cell to warn others of their impending doom. Never, ever ceases to amaze me.
