Chatsworth Arson Suspect Caught on Surveillance Video

CHATSWORTH, Calif. (KTLA) — Los Angeles Fire Department arson investigators have released surveillance video of a man believed to be responsible for a dozen fires in the west San Fernando Valley.

The fires were set in garbage bins in the Chatsworth area between October 21 and October 28, 2012.

On the video, you can see a suspect getting out of his car outside a restaurant on Devonshire Street.

He walks toward a trash bin and sets it on fire, then gets back into his car and watches the fire grow.

Anyone with information on the person in the video is asked to call the LAFD Arson/Counter-Terrorism Section directly at (213) 893-9850.

If you witness someone actively committing the crime of arson, call 911.
