WOODLAND HILLS (KTLA) — Police arrested a parolee on Monday night who led them on a high speed chase through Woodland Hills.
The pursuit began around 9:10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and lasted about 20 minutes.
The suspect is on parole for a previous armed robbery, police say.
It’s unclear why officers tried to pull him over.
When they did, the suspect sped through surface streets and neighborhoods, blowing through red lights and nearly crashing into another driver.
When officers threw spike strips onto the road, the car gave out and the suspect tried to run away. An officer tackled him to the ground and arrested him.
