HAWTHORNE (KTLA) — A shooting at a New Year’s party in Hawthorne left one man dead and at least three others wounded early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred on the 13600 Block of Cerise Avenue around 1:16 a.m.
When police arrived on the scene, they found several victims of the shooting, said Lt. David Coleman of L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau.
Officers stopped two cars nearby the location that were carrying shooting victims, Coleman said.
Homicide Bureau detectives are assisting Hawthorne police in the investigation.
The motive for the shooting is unknown.
