LAKEWOOD (KTLA) — A New Year’s Eve shooting left man dead and at least three more wounded in Lakewood on Monday night.
The incident took place during an argument on the 20700 block of Alburtis Avenue around 11:20 p.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
A family was gathering in the driveway of a residence when a Hispanic male approached the group. Words were exchanged and soon after gunfire erupted.
All four victims were transported to local hospitals. The deceased male was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The motive for the shooting was unknown and the incident is under investigation.
