PHOENIX, Ariz. — A photo of a baby reaching out of the womb and holding a doctor’s finger during a Caesarian section has gone viral.
Phoenix-area dad Randy Atkins took the picture during the delivery of his daughter Neveah back in October.
“He showed it to me and I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is amazing,’” said mother Alicia Atkins.
“The doctor called me over and said, ‘Hey, she’s grabbing my finger!’” Randy recalled.
“I just ran over there and just grabbed the shot, and I was just in awe looking at it. It was such an amazing picture,” he said.
Alicia gave her doctor a canvass print of the photo. And after thousands of ‘likes’ on Facebook, she even got a few offers to buy the picture.
No matter how many kids follow — a subject of friendly debate in the growing family of five — they’ll cherish this photo of Neveah forever.

I saw that same photo about 3 years ago. It's not a recent picture and the dad couldn't have taken it in October.

Under current law that child could still legally be aborted at that moment if the mother decided she didn’t want the child.

This is a natural reflex that babies have. if you put your finger around ANY baby's hands, they will automatically grab it. nothing special!! these kinds of stories take valuable time that could be used for REAL news.

Life is a gift and deserves a level of dignity.
This child showed that life wasn't when the mother decided it was worth bothering with, but earlier.
It's curious to see people mocking the story to avoid that.
