LOS ANGELES — A suspected serial burglar is behind bars and now his victims are getting a chance to get their valuables back.
Hundreds of items believed to have been stolen by a serial burglar in went on display today.
Police say the items — including laptop computers, watches, wallets, stereo headphones, and clothes — were taken from cars throughout the Torrance area.
Police say 38-year-old Frank Chibbaro, homeless man, targeted parked cars, usually in underground parking lots and was lured by anything that was left in plain sight.
He was found hiding in a carport after an extensive area search with the assistance of LAPD K9 officers.
Chibbaro’s vehicle contained over 150 items of evidence which investigators believe was taken from other areas of Los Angeles and the City of Torrance.
