REDONDO BEACH, Calif. (KTLA) — Police have released a sketch and surveillance video in the stabbings of two teenagers inside the South Bay Galleria.
The attacks happened near the mall’s AMC movie theaters on December 29 just before 7:30 p.m.
Police say a 13-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were stabbed in the chest multiple times.
The victims underwent surgery and are now listed in stable condition.
He is said to be tall with a medium build.
He had a beard and mustache and wore prescription glasses.
The suspect’s clothing is described as a knit beanie cap, green/brown fatigue (not camouflage) type jacket, blue jeans, black t-shirt.
Investigators said he used a kitchen knife to stab the teens.
Authorities say they have not been able to come up with a motive for the attack and believe the stabbings may have been a random act of violence.
