BOGOTA, COLOMBIA (KTLA) – A company that makes bulletproof vests is now creating similarly-armored clothing for children.
The company’s newest products include child-sized armored vests, protective undershirts, and backpacks with ballistic protection that can be used as shields.
The products are designed for kids ages 8-16.
The bulletproof clothing sells for between $150 and $600.
The company started making bulletproof products for children when requests came to them following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut last month.
