O’FALLON, MISSOURI (CNN) – The owner of a suburban Saint Louis restaurant hopes Facebook will help her catch a thief.
Christy Hall posted photos online of a man she says made off with her restaurant’s costly kitchen cooler.
It happened at B. Hall’s Family Grill restaurant in O’Fallon. Hall came in to work and noticed that the large food cooler was missing.
So Hall checked the restaurant’s surveillance cameras. The thief’s entire crime — hauling the large cooler out the back door — was caught on camera in broad daylight.
Hall estimates the cooler was worth $2,000.
The Hall family called to report the theft and filed a report. But Hall felt that even more could be done through Facebook.
So she posted a story about the theft — along with the thief’s photo — on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
Now she and her restaurant staff believe it’s just a matter of time until the cooler-caper is settled, and the thief himself is put on ice.
