LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — A San Fernando Valley woman accused of being involved in a decade-old child pornography case appeared before a federal judge on Tuesday.
The arraignment for Letha Mae Montemayor, 52, was originally scheduled for Monday, but it was delayed after she suffered a seizure while in lockup.
Montemayor also had a seizure when police arrested her last Thursday outside an apartment complex in North Hills.
Her arraignment was continued to Feb. 13.
Investigators had been searching for Montemayor after they recovered a series of photos in which a man and a woman are seen molesting a girl about 13 years old.
The man from in the photographs has not been identified, nor has the victim.
It’s believed that the photos, which were widely distributed, were taken about 11 years ago at an apartment in the San Fernando Valley.
Montemayor is charged with conspiracy and production of child pornography.
Each count carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison.
Police have arrested a woman and are searching for a man in connection with child porn photos believed to have been taken in the San Fernando Valley a decade ago.

You can bet that there will be pressure on her to plea to some lesser charge, because they really don't have any case against her.

They can only speculate as to how old the girl is in the photos…. They don't even know who she is, much less how old she was while doing those photos…. This woman can swear that she was shown an ID that proved the girl was over 18 and there is no way thay can prove her wrong. There are girls who are 14 and look to be in thier 20's, why not the other way around?

to bikey…There must be something that police have. It might be pretty hard to deny anything if she is pictured with the girl in however many photos or vid that no one but the police and the jury will see. Guess we'll find out.

If they can find the girl to determing if she was under 18 at the time…. It's hard to convict without a victim, but it's been known to happen, but like I said they will probably scare her and keep her awake for hours in interrogation trying to get her to plea to a lesser charge…… We'll see how this plays out.

There are other vidos out there that they have not shown… These people are sick. Often they use the excuse that they were molested as a child, that is no excuse. I hope they get a$$ raped in prison like Dahmer.

Yes it may seem like alot of these kind of cases involves caucasians, but it’s every race that is doing this. Either way, it’s a disgusting crime and there need to be harsher punishments for those who commit them.
