Teen Groped While Walking to School in Glendale

groper-picGLENDALE, Calif. (KTLA) — Police have released a sketch of a man who allegedly fondled a 14-year-old girl as she was walking to Glendale High School.

It happened around 8:15 a.m. on Dec. 3 as the girl and her friend were walking in the 1000 block of Elk Avenue.

The suspect walked up to the teen and grabbed the top of her shoulders with both hands, according to Glendale police.

He then turned the girl slightly to her right and placed his right palm on her left breast, police said. He laughed and walked away on Elk Avenue.

The girl and her friend reported the incident to a teacher.

The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern man about 33 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 180 pounds, with black hair, black eyes and a beard.

He was wearing a black, sleeveless T-shirt with a yellow design and black sweatpants with yellow vertical stripes along the sides.

No similar incidents have been reported. Police are hoping the public can provide leads so the case doesn’t go cold.
