Teen Who Disappeared on New Year’s Day Still Missing
NEWHALL, Calif. (KTLA) — Family and friends of Sarah Alarid continue to search daily for the missing teen who vanished a week ago after a New Year’s Eve party in Santa Clara.
The 19-year-old left the party around 3 a.m., saying she was going home, according to friends.
She was driving a 2002 silver Ford Focus hatchback, license plate No. 4WXE737.
Loved-ones led by Sarah’s father, Mike Alarid, combed areas of Newhall Tuesday.
“We just need to find that car. It doesn’t make sense for it to disappear like that with as much ground as we’ve covered,” Mr. Alarid said.
Sarah’s family is exhausted and frustrated with the lack of clues in their daughter’s disappearance.
“Just hold on Sarah, just come home. Give us a sign of something,” said Laura Alarid, Sarah’s mother.
Friends of Sarah tell KTLA News that the party she attended on New Year’s Eve prior to her disappearance was held at 29115 Poppy Meadow St. in Canyon Country.
Sarah was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, ripped blue jeans, a red sweater and a blue and gray plaid sweater.
She is 5′ 05″, 110 lbs., has reddish brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.
