SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KTLA) — Two newlyweds will never forget their wedding day after their hot air balloon crashed onto the roof of a house.

It happened just west of the 15 Freeway in Rancho Penasquitos, near San Diego.

The hot air balloon was carrying a wedding party of 13 people when a sudden gust of wind blew the high-flying ceremony off course.

The bride and groom had just exchanged vows when the basket crashed into the chain link fence of a home.

Witnesses said the wedding party was screaming, but no one was seriously hurt.
