APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (KTLA) — A 21-year old woman pleaded not guilty Thursday to fatally poisoning her boyfriend’s 2-year-old daughter with chili powder.
Amanda Sorensen is been charged with first degree murder and child abuse causing death.
Authorities were called to the 20000 block of Cayuga Road in Apple Valley on a report of a child suffering from a seizure after ingesting chili powder.
The toddler, Joileen Garcia, died at a hospital, deputies said.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of the girl’s death.
Sorensen is being held on $1 million bail and is scheduled to return to court Jan. 17.

The photo of the suspect speaks for itself. She looks like a moron so you would expect her to act like one as well. Unfortunately, her actions were at the expense of an innocent toddler. I hope for court she shaves that mustache that she has in the picture and pulls the stud out from below her lip.
