ORANGE (KTLA) – The case against two former police officers accused in the July 2011 beating death of mentally ill transient Kelly Thomas will go forward.
A judge has denied the request to drop charges against officers Manuel Ramos and Jay Cicinelli.
County of Orange Superior Court Judge William Froeberg says the jury will decide whether or not the officers used reasonable force against Thomas.
A hearing for the former Fullerton police officers is set for January 18th.

I watched most of this video with my husband…he stopped it when this man kept yelling out for his Dad…this is the most sickening thing that an officier who took an oath to protect and to serve could do…they should be beaten just like Kelly was…beaten till they can no longer breath…just like Kelly…I hope that the justice this man deserves happens, but I doubt it will as the other officiers that helped hold him down, kick him, punch him, taze him have not had charges brought against them…one can only hope that this happens…and if it were our son we would sue everyone involved in this case…all of them until justice is done…no one can bring Kelly back, however we can all make these officiers pay for what they did…I will never trust another officier for as long as I live.
