TAFT, CA (KTLA) – Families in the Taft Union High School community are doing their best to support the high school student critically injured in a campus shooting.
Parents, students, and school administrators led a community rally and vigil Friday night (Jan. 11).
Their prayers and best wishes went out to 16-year-old Bowe Cleveland, the student who was shot in the chest and abdomen.
As of Saturday morning (Jan 12), Cleveland was in a medically-induced coma and on life support. He was expected to survive.
Detectives have not named the teen under arrest in the shooting.
They believe the suspect targeted students whom he felt had bullied him.
