SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CNN) — Authorities said a Chihuahua puppy was rescued after it survived an 80-foot fall.
The San Diego Police Department said the 3-month-old male fell off the cliff and suffered head trauma, but is recovering.
Lifeguards rescued the pup and took care of it until it could be evaluated by a veterinarian.
According to lifeguards, the dog’s owner could not be located and may have left it behind.
Daniel E. DeSousa, deputy director of the San Diego Department of Animal Services said the puppy was under their care, but that because the head trauma was serious, it had to be transferred to an emergency hospital for observation.
DeSousa said the dog’s treatment will be covered by the Department’s Spirit Fund.

Aww I would take him home, but I'm sure he'll find one quicker than I could drive down in traffic with that cute little face.

Find the owner and make them pay for the damages to this poor soul. What a cute one.
