LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — An innocent bystander was killed by a stray bullet while she was on the street in Jefferson Park, where relatives say she was visiting family.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of West 35th Place.
Police said that the victim was shot once in the head. She was not the intended target, according to investigators.
“I just know she was bringing her dog Smokey Bell to the car and I guess a group of people were fighting and shots rang out,” the victim’s sister told KTLA.
She said that her sister was 45 years old and went by the family name “Pumpkin.” She did not live there, but she was there to visit relatives.
“She was well loved, liked,” she added. “A lovely mother, sister. Anybody that knew her knows that she didn’t deserve this.”
“Whoever did this knows who they are, and they just need to know that they broke our family, our home. Me and my sisters will never be the same.”

We already have thousands of laws that criminals will always ignore. Making more laws will not make a difference. If laws were useful against criminals this woman would not have been shot in the first place. You can't legislate criminals and murderers away. They have to be removed from society permanently.

Build more jails….as this person is one that doe's not care about gun laws … and is not a safe person to be around as he can't hit what he shot at…the problem is people like this not the gun….

no such thing as a stray bullet. The susp recklessly fired a gun in city limits and killed someone. Should rate the death penalty for the shooter

this has been going on there for years!………these negroes are out of control all over america……this woman lost her life because she was in an area thats full of animals!……these people just have violence in their dna……..anywhere there's a concentrated amount of negroes,there's a large amount of violent crime!………….and you know i'm right!
