MONTEBELLO, Calif. (KTLA) — Firefighters worked to extinguish a house fire in Montebello Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out in a house on Cleveland Street, one block north of the intersection of Whittier and Montebello Boulevards.

Firefighters arrived just after 8 a.m. to the fire, which had spread to the garage.

Smoke from the fire could be seen several miles away by KTLA’s Sky 5.
