LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KTLA) — Be sure to keep your umbrella handy because it’s going to a rainy few days all across Southern California.
A low front settled in across the region this morning, bringing cooler temperatures and periods rain that should last through the weekend, the National Weather Service said.
Temperatures were expected to fall into the low 60s over the weekend.
About a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain is expected for the coastal areas of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, according to the NWS.
Foothill and mountain areas will see rainfall totals between three-quarters of an inch and two inches.
The snow level is expected to drop to around 6,000 feet on Friday through Saturday morning.
At the start of next week, it will be cooler with showers on Monday and Tuesday, then things will dry out and temperatures will warm slowly back to normal.
