White House, Senators Launching Immigration Push

Musical chairs at the white house today.

Jack Lew was the 1st term Chief of Staff, but the administrations 2nd term Chief of Staff will be the Denis McDonough.

Lew, pending confirmation is transitioning to a cabinet position,  Secretary of the treasury, replacing Timothy Geithner.

The president also meeting today with leaders of the congressional Hispanic Caucus discussing how to fix the immigration system.

“The president’s commitment to comprehensive immigration reform has been clear for a very long time, “ Jay Carney White House Press Secretary.

But critics complain, the president waited a very long time to deal on immigration reform.

The president did order the Dream Act amnesty for the children brought here illegally by their families last summer, but true reform was not part of his 1st term agenda, as promised.

“What has been absent in the time since he put those principles forward has been a willingness by republicans , generally speaking to move forward with comprehensive immigration reform,” Carney said.

Led by Senators Marco Rubio of Florida and Ted Cruz of Texas, republicans are moving to get ahead of the president on the immigration issue.

November was their parties wake up call.

71% of Latinos voted to re-elect President Obama over GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

Well gee let's see probably should start by securing the borders .Not gonna do any good if they can come and go as they please. Look up ILLEGAL ALIEN (What does this mean) . Start enforcing the laws ALREADY on the books. It's a no brain-er. It's not your fault Illegals chose to take the SHORT CUT to citizenship. An Illegal is illegal ,…not suppose to be here PERIOD! Stop rewarding their criminal behaviour.

The are not "immigrants". Immigrants come into a country with the consent and permission of the country they are moving to. These people are INFILTRATORS, since they infiltrated our international borders against the law.

I really think they should never be qualified for citizenship if they barged into our country. Who wants this big push to legalize them. No one I know.

    • PublicNME

To legalize them now would be a slap in the face of all the Immigrants Who petitioned, waited, went through the proper channels. Obama signed the Dream act to keep their kids here, gave them drivers licences. That's what won him the presidency there's also lots of tax dollars they can milk out of them if they grant them some degree of amnesty.Which is probably what will happen.

These aren't immigrants,,,they're invaders!……..the majority of these 3rd world mongrols are nothing but COMMON CRIMINALS!……….NOBODY WANTS THEM HERE!………..WHY DO YOU ONLY FIND MEXICANS IN THE USA & MEXICO?…..WTF……THERES A WHOLE WORLD OUT THERE…..CAN'T THEY ALL COWARDLY FLEE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY?….IS THERE ANOTHER COUNTRY THAT WOULD ALLOW THEM TO IMMIGRATE THERE ILLEGALLY?…IS THERE ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD THAT WOULD ACTUALLY WANT THESE 3RD WORLD MONGROLS?……..IF THEY'RE SUCH HARD WORKERS,WHY DON'T THEY WORK HARD AT REBUILDING MEXICO?

Cannot close the borders since it is too late. That would be like closing the barn gate after the cattle have already spread out in all directions, unfortunately :(

Too bad the United States does not enforce immigration laws like they do in Mexico. Try going there and making demands for a drivers license, food stamps, welfare, housing, education…

Where's that executive order to secure our borders. It would be like building a retaining wall to keep more water from coming in ,Then you start bailing to remove what got past the wall.

So here he goes again….what will the prez sign next to give illegal aliens more things for free…….Like pay back taxes????What is he nuts thatsnothing as no one knows how long they have been in the country………….So s71% of the lationo voter for this loser….what a wastes of time and money……..so to secure the borders put out sniper teams………after while the illegals will get the message….They come thru the border so fast…lots of area or dangers to usa folks…….lets make it dangers for the illegals then we talk about changeing the laws……
