Increased Security for O.C. Gun Show Crowds

COSTA MESA (KTLA) – A two-day gun show in Orange County is set to go ahead as planned this weekend — but with increased security.

The Crossroads of the West Gun Show has been in operation for more than 30 years.  It is held at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

Organizers say they will be boosting security due to recent accidental shootings at other gun shows around the country.

A ‘Free Speech’ area will be set up at the event, allowing visitors to voice their opinions regarding the hot-button political issue of gun control.

The show is slated to begin at 9 a.m. on both Saturday (Jan. 26) and Sunday (Jan. 27).

Dave Mecham reports.

Who said this? What organizer? Organizer for the gun show or just some random organizer of something else?

What gun shows actually had negligent discharges? Where and when were these? We are given the suggestion that these events took place, but without citing evidence, it is merely a suggestion.

and I am sure there were traffic accidents going to the shows, you want to blame guns on those too.

The "accidents" probly all happened at the free speech area when some Libtard started talking bans.

Has anybody started a petition to ban Old lady Finestein and her gun? She needs to be shown the door.

Yep, I was there and there were only TWO Sheriff vehicles .. Just Two and over 26,000 as of only 1:30pm.. I met really nice people there, two families I met had there Grandfather, son and Grandson there.. Says a lot about the quality of people that make up the NRA.. They have traditional family values, SUCH as Marriage is between a Man and a Woman and the key common denominator of course was they also were Christians .. We all happen to KNOW JESUS has our savior and spent the 6 hours in line sharing our experiences with our time with the LORD and how he has always been there for us and Always will be.

we went to this show, most civilized "convention" we have ever been too. everyone was polite and generous…. of course because the attendants were not what some may envision 2nd amendment enthusiasts to be, violent and rude. Rather they are just everyday people, with families, careers and normal lives. Who believe in the rights we've been fighting to keep, basic human rights. Those naysayers have quite perverted imaginations and are willing to accept the tyranny of their government.
