Women Seek to Sue Web Site for ‘Revenge Porn’

revenge692(KTLA) – More than two dozen women are looking to sue a ‘revenge porn’ site after their ex-boyfriends posted revealing photos of them on the site.

The site — texxxan.com — is hosted by godaddy.com.

Beyond the revealing photos, the site has also posted the women’s personal information.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, some of the photos have been of underage girls.

Texxxan.com is accused of invasion of privacy, and beyond the civil action sought by the women, the website could also face criminal charges.

A recent check of the web site finds it inactive, with a message to visitors that reads:  “texxxan.com down due to traffic overloads and discussions.”

I've got to admit, I kind of hope these women win this suit. Granted, they shouldn't have been so stupid as to allow the photos/videos or whatever to be taken in the first place, but since they did, it was almost certainly under the understanding that those photographs/video footage NEVER make its way to the internet. That someone would violate another person like that over petty spite is reprehensible.
