WOODLAND HILLS (KTLA) – Authorities are looking for the woman who stole a puppy from a pet adoption center, and it was caught on camera.
The camera shows a woman holding a Yorkshire terrier puppy in her arms as she checks out another dog at the Woodland Hills Ice adoption event.
She then calls over several adoption workers to check on the dog, and while they do, she leaves the center with the Yorkie.
Though the goal of the adoption event is to find homes for the pets, there are proper procedures and attendant fees for taking ownership of any of the animals. Authorities say these procedures were not followed by the woman.
Anyone with information about the woman or the stolen puppy is asked to contact police in Woodland Hills.
