LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — The L.A. Unified School District is unveiling an ambitious plan to increase security at 400 elementary school campuses.
The district says it will hire 1,000 security aides. Each campus will get at least two of those aides.
They’ll be unarmed, but they will have vests and two-way radios for better communication.
The plan is estimated to cost about $4.2 million. The aides could begin appearing on campuses as early as March 1.

What a joke!!!! A waste if taxpayer money that adds zero protection for our schools! Any individual or agency that takes these jobs are doing nothing but putting themselves at risk.
These security guards will be doing nothing but breaking up fights and shoving matches and escorting unruly students to the principle’s office. At the first sign if a real tragedy they will either be dead, incapacitated, or hiding in a broom closet trying to call 911 while they soil their shorts.
