QUEENSLAND, Australia — Dramatic video captures a daring aerial rescue of a toddler and two women from rising floodwaters in Australia.
Rescue crews airlifted the trio to safety on Sunday after their truck became submerged in fast-moving floodwaters in Queensland.
Video from a camera mounted on one of the rescuers shows the women zipping the boy into a small black bag, which is then hooked to a line and hoisted up to the chopper.
The rescuer then returned to the truck and pulled the two women to safety.
The flooding was the result of days of heavy rain brought by tropical cyclone Oswald. Three people have died and hundreds of homes were underwater.
