MONTREAL, Canada — It’s the wrong time of year for water sports.
But a Canadian college student was caught on camera as she unexpectedly turned a flooded street into a water slide.
A broken water main in downtown Montreal turned this street next to McGill University into a raging river.
The student was trying to cross the street to get home when she lost her balance and was swept away by the flood.
She reached dry land a few blocks away — where volunteers got her a blanket and some dry clothes.
Hours later — work crews managed to shut off the water, which was gushing from a broken 48-inch pipe.

Why is this listed under "local news" when it's actually in Canada?

About 3000 miles away depending on which freeway you take.
