NEW YORK — Two women were arrested at JFK after allegedly trying to smuggle cocaine into the U.S. wearing homemade diapers.
Priscilla Pena and Michelle Blassingale, both of the Bronx, were bring the cocaine back the Dominican Republic on Saturday.
Officials say Pena was selected for inspection after a drug-sniffing dog alerted to something around her midsection.
A partial strip search revealed a duct tape girdle, resembling a diaper and a silver plastic wrapper containing cocaine, CBS New York reports.
After Pena was arrested, she told agents about Blassingale, who was also searched and arrested.
The women were allegedly carrying nearly seven kilos of cocaine.
