Suspect Wounded in Walnut Deputy Shooting

WALNUT, Calif. (KTLA) — Authorities are investigating a deputy-involved shooting  in Walnut early Friday morning.

dis-picIt happened around 2 a.m. at Lemon Avenue and Paseo Del Prado Road, according to an L.A. County Sheriff’s Department news release.

The suspect has been transported to a hospital with unknown injuries, sheriff’s officials said.

No deputies were injured.

It wasn’t immediately clear what led up to the shooting. No additional information has been released.

    9:30am All the streets are closed around scene. There is a older white nissan pickup truck with windows shot out in the middle of the street. Looks like something is covered with a white blanket.
    Not sure what is going on but cops are not letting anyone even near businesses.

    Helicopter is now flying around the area. Not sure for what reason if shooting happened at 2am.
