Mom and Daughter Murdered While Walking Near Perris
NUEVO, Calif. (KTLA) — A mother and daughter were attacked and killed on Monday while walking in a rural community east of Perris.
The incident happened just after 5 p.m.in the 29000 block of Central Street in unincorporated Nuevo, in Riverside County.
The victims were identified by the sheriff’s coroner as 51-year-old Maria Gonzalez, 51, and 25-year-old Connie Gonzalez, both of Nuevo.
Deputies arrived and found the women suffering from “obvious traumatic injuries,” according to a news release.
Connie Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene by Cal Fire personnel.
Her mother, Maria, was taken to Menifee Valley Medical Center, where she was also pronounced dead.
Deputies and investigators from the Hemet station checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect, who was last seen running from the location.
He is described as a Hispanic male about 18 to 20 years old wearing dark clothing. No further details were immediately available.
