MTA Bus Hits 2 People in WeHo, 1 Dead

WEST HOLLYWOOD (KTLA) — One person was killed and another was critically injured when they were hit by an MTA bus in West Hollywood.

bus-peds-picIt happened just before midnight on Monday at a crosswalk at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Palm Avenue.

Both victims were transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where one of them died.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It wasn’t immediately known if the driver would be cited.

      It was an 81 year old man and his partner, you insensitive idiot. He began to cross when the bus was stopped. the bus did not see him or his partner and went right though. Maybe you should get the whole story before you make comments like this…

    Those crosswalks in West Hollywood are terrible. I have driven through there in the evening and come very close to hitting someone. They do not light up and if someone is wearing dark clothes or crosses without looking, then it’s super easy for a driver to miss them. Poorly designed.
