Suspects Sought in Sam’s Club Kidnap Robbery – Wendy Burch Reports
STANTON, Calif. (KTLA) — A brazen kidnapping at gunpoint turned a shopping trip into a nightmare for a mother and her baby in Stanton.
Authorities are now looking for two men wanted for abducting the woman and her child, and forcing her to buy them two iPads from Sam’s Club.
It happened last Thursday afternoon at the Sam’s Club on Beach Boulevard in Stanton.
The victim said she was approached by a man as she and her daughter were leaving the store.
The two men then forced the woman into her vehicle at gunpoint and told her to drive home because they wanted money, police said.
But when the woman told them her husband was at home, they changed their mind, forcing her to return to the store.
She said they then asked her to withdraw money from an ATM inside the store.
But when the woman showed them she didn’t have any money in her account, they forced her to purchase two iPads using her credit card.
Once outside the store, the suspects took $200 from the woman’s purse and her gold earrings. They were last seen leaving the parking lot on foot.
