RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KTLA) — One Riverside Police officer was killed and another hospitalized after being shot Thursday morning by a man police believed to be an ex-LAPD officer wanted in connection with a double murder.

Officer Michael Crain, 34, was killed when he and his partner were ambushed, allegedly by former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner, while sitting at a red light. He was an 11-year veteran of the Riverside Police Department, and leaves behind a wife and two children.
