VENICE, Calif. (KTLA) — A police pursuit came to a dramatic end in Venice when the suspect hit a bicyclist before slamming into a restaurant.
The pursuit began around 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Speedway and 20th Street when the driver, a parolee, made an illegal U-turn, according to police.
The chase ended at Lincoln Boulevard and Vernon Avenue. The suspect lost control, hitting a bicyclist and then plowing into Wurstkuche restaurant.
The suspect, the bicyclist and three others were hospitalized. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
Police said the suspect is facing charges of felony hit and run and felony evading.
The restaurant was shut down due to structural damage. Lincoln Boulevard was closed for a time near Vernon for the investigation.

They probably thought it was Dorner.
February 11, 2013 at 11:20 AM
Yeah we did think it was Dorner originally and a lot of us ran into the kitchen and took cover because we heard a girl scream "he has a gun." it was absolutely terrifying.

All cops are criminals with badges. Defend the 2nd amendment. It is the only way to defend yourself and not end up shot on sight by the government.

Dormer is not a threat to the community. The government is using our money to protect itself.
February 11, 2013 at 12:01 AM
Mr. Mayor, it is obvious which community is threatened, and thereby offering $1M, to protect itself from Doner. What are you willing to offer civilians as compensation when your police paramitary shoots first.

Mr. Mayor is also responsible for turning LA into a nightmare city crawling with illegals, whose collective MO is to outbreed the locals, and then take control. We're doomed.
