LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — Laker fans shared their thoughts Monday morning after learning about the death of team owner Jerry Buss.
Buss died at the age 80 from an undisclosed form of cancer at Cedars Sinai Medical Center Monday morning, according to his longtime spokesman, Bob Steiner.
“It’s a sad day. I love going to Lakers games and he was an important part in making the Lakers significant and keeping on the traditions that they had over the years. It’s one of those things that’s kind of hard to believe right now,” one fan said.
“I’ve been a Lakers fan for a long time,” another fan added. “Too bad they weren’t having a better season to let him pass on. What a shock.”
