VAN NUYS, Calif. (KTLA) — The California Highway Patrol used the PIT maneuver to stop a stolen vehicle suspect who led authorities on a nearly 45-minute pursuit Wednesday.
LAPD officers first attempted to pull over the blue Nissan Pathfinder in Van Nuys after picking up a Lo-Jack notification that the vehicle had been stolen.
The suspect, who refused to stop, then took to the 405 and 118 freeways to lead officers on a high speed pursuit.
Video from Sky5 appeared to show the driver throwing something out of the SUV.
CHP officers spun the SUV out shortly after the driver exited the southbound 405 freeway at Pico Boulevard.
The suspect was ordered out of the vehicle and taken into custody.

Think about all of the innocent people who were endangered by this moron who drove this lethal weapon at a high rate of speed through the streets of Southern California. Had the police used lethal force to bring this to an end earlier, they would have been absolutely right to do so. These morons have to learn that going off on these high speed chases will not be tolerated and has to stop and the only way that they are going to stop is if they know that they have a good chance of being killed by the police.

I totally agree with you. I see no reason – if the situation warrants it and it can be fairly safely done (yes, I said fairly) just do whatever you have to do to stop that car, whether it's shooting out the tires or whatever. These people are idiots – they bring it on themselves.
